COD is governed by a distinguished Board of Governors, comprising eminent personalities from Civil Services, Chief Executives of large corporates, academicians and social scientists. They bring in their rich experience and distilled wisdom in providing overall strategic and policy direction. Academic and administrative matters are executed by Director, Prof. Umeshwar Pandey.

Dr V Krishnamurthy
Chairman Emeritus (1998 – 2020)

Dr V Krishnamurthy during his distinguished career with large undertakings such as BHEL, SAIL, Maruthi Udyog etc and headed many committees and Councils of Government of India. He was conferred with many honours and awards, including Padma Bhushan (1986) and Business Man of the year (1987). He guided COD during its formative years and he was the chairman of the Board of Governors for the first 18 years and continues to guide now as Chairman Emeritus.

Mr Gelli is the only private sector banker – till date- awarded the prestigious national award of “Padma Shri” in 1991. Among many other awards, he was recognized as the “Most Outstanding Graduate” by the Asian Institute of Management, Philippines. E&Y-“Entrepreneur of the Year” -1999. He was former Chairman of Vysya Bank Ltd and Global Trust Bank Ltd; President of All India Management Association; Member on the Boards of IIM, Bangalore; ASCI, Hyderabad; Bharatidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchy. He is associated with number of NGOs.

Dr Sunita Maheshwari COD
Dr Sunita Maheshwari
Chairperson – COD and Chief Dreamer – Telerad Group, Bangalore

Dr Sunita Maheshwari, Outlook Business WOW 2019 (Woman of Worth) and 2014’s ‘Amazing Indian’ award by Times Now, is a US Board certified Pediatric Cardiologist who did her MBBS at Osmania medical college followed by postgraduation at AIIMS, Delhi and Yale University in the US. She was the winner of the ‘Young Clinician Award’ from the American Heart Association and the ‘Best Teacher Award’ at Yale University. She was nominated one of the Top 20 women achievers in medicine in India. She is the Chief Dreamer at the Telerad group which includes Teleradiology Solutions, Telrad tech and RXDX healthcare. She is on the board of Glaxo Smith Kline India, Heart and Stroke Foundation of India-a subsidiary of American Heart association and IHMR (Bangalore), among others.

She also runs 2 trust funds. People4people has put up over 400 playgrounds in government schools and Telrad Foundation provides telemedicine services to poor areas in Asia.

Mr. Nakul P Mehta
Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Bharat Bijlee Ltd

Nakul P. Mehta holds degrees in Physics and in Engineering Mechanics, and his work has been published in peer-reviewed international journals. He joined Bharat Bijlee Ltd in 1984 and has been one of its Managing Directors since 1990. Mr. Mehta has wide experience of the electrical engineering and elevator industries with expertise in strategy formulation and technology management. He has been active on many industry bodies and forums and has been associated with several NGOs.

Mr. J A Chowdary
Entrepreneur, Innovator, Angel Investor, Industry Leader

Mr. J A Chowdary  is an Entrepreneur, Technology leader and innovator with an illustrious career spanning across private and public sectors. He is passionate about improving the lives of Indian youth through technology education and employment opportunities. He is the founding director of Software Technology Parks of India at Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. At present he is the chairman of the Indian Block Chain Standards Committee, the General Partner-Succeed Innovation Fund and a former IT advisor and special chief secretary to the Chief Minister, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Dr Vijeeta Dravid, Founder RxDx SAMANVAY

Dr Vijeeta Dravid, MBBS, MS is a Surgeon from Nagpur Medical College.
Apart from being a sports wife and doctor, she is an entrepreneur having founded RxDx SAMANVAY, a health care and sports medicine initiative which is the medical partner of AIFF, India and the GoSports Foundation.
She has a keen interest in sports training and research as well as in health care initiatives. She is a well known speaker and figure in India.

Mr Girish Gelli
Director of Mytrah Energy.

Mr Girish Gelli has 20 years of business and entrepreneurial experience across a number of industries spanning Insurance, Banking, Business Process Outsourcing, IT Services, Private Equity Investments and Solar Power. He was an Executive Council Member for three years on the State Council of the CII – The Confederation of Indian Industry (AP). Mr Gelli was the founder of a BPO services firm that catered to the financial services industry and subsequently a solar firm that owns and operates solar power projects in India, one of the projects setup by that firm had received an award from the Ministry (MNRE) recognizing it as one of the best solar project in the country. He setup the Solar Business division at Mytrah Energy India Ltd in the year 2015. The company successfully developed a portfolio of 500MW Solar projects as a project owner. He is currently a Director of Mytrah Energy.

Shri K N Shrivastava

New Delhi

Shri K N Shrivastava did M.Sc. (Physics) in 1973 from Allahabad University. He joined Indian Forest Service in 1976. Subsequently, he joined Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) in July 1976. Two years later in 1978, he joined IAS and allotted Karnataka Cadre. He held important positions both in State&central governments such as CMD of Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited and common Chairman of all the four Power Distribution companies in Karnataka State; and Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Director General of Archaeological Survey of India, Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser in the Ministry of External Affairs. He is currently the Administrative Member, Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Government of India.

Mr Jagadeeswar

Shri M Jagadeeshwar

Mr Jagadeeshwar has a Postgraduate Degree in Commerce and is the recipient of three gold medals from Kakatiya University, Warangal in the year 1982. He is IAS (Retd) with 37 years of administrative experience and has headed various departments in the Government of Telangana.

Some of the positions held by him include, Principal Secretary-Disaster Management, Revenue Department, Managing Director- Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Commissioner-Telangana State Transport Department, Commissioner-School Education, Secretary-Hyderabad Urban Development Authority, Mission Director of the Urban Poverty Reduction Project, District Collector of Mahabubnagar, etc. Prior to his state-level positions, he has undertaken field level assignments in the districts of West Godavari, Prakasham, Krishna, Ranga Reddy, and Karimnagar.

Dr A Vidhyadhar Reddy

Professor, Director-Centre for Management Studies, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad

Dr Vidydhar Reddy Aileni was Professor & Dean at Department of Management, Osmania University. He was chairman, board of studies during the year 2004. He has won multiple academic laurels, citation and was awarded gold medal by Osmania University MBA Alumni Association for best research paper published in 2003-04.

He is currently Professor and Director, Centre for Management Studies, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad – a prestigious National Level institute

Ms. Rathi Vinay Jha

Ms. Rathi Vinay Jha served in the Indian Administrative Service where as Secretary, Union Ministry of Tourism, she led the team on the ‘Incredible India’campaign. In her assignment as Director to set up the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) the concept of Fashion Education was introduced for the first time in India.

Ms. Jha has also served after retirement as Secretary General of the World Travel and Tourism Council – India. She is the Founder Chairperson of the Indian Heritage Cities Network, a UNESCO NGO. She is on the Boards of a number of other Trusts and Societies addressing the development sector. She is currently the Chairperson of the India Foundation of Arts as well as a Trustee of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts. (IGNCA)

She currently Chairs Plan International India, a pan India NGO which works for the vulnerable and underprivileged communities and especially girls.
