Professor Lalitha Akundi has been an integral part of our core faculty team in the areas of OB and OD since 2009. Her immense contributions to the activities of Centre for Organization Development Hyderabad, include but are not limited to designing and delivering high-standard management training programs, training the trainers, conducting research studies and creating organizational structure as well as HR policies.
A talented thought leader, a prolific people person, an insightful educator and a result-oriented trainer, Professor Lalitha has the knack of transforming businesses as well as employees.
She specializes in training the executives of public as well as private sector enterprises with an illustrious clientele of brands like DST, NMDC Ltd. LIC, Novartis, Indian Overseas Bank, & AT&T. Throughout her expansive career, she has built high performance teams (PSUs and DRDO), conducted programs on Emotional Intelligence, Leadership, Organization Development programs (for DST Scientists), Soft Skills programs (LIC), Leadership Development programs for senior execs (Govt of Afghanistan).
A powerhouse of ideas and a pioneer in experiential education, her special interest lies in conceptualising and executing out-of-the-box sessions on Interpersonal Skills, Conflict Management, Value-Based Leadership, Understanding Self and Women@Work, in the context of the rapidly evolving ecosystem of global merit-oriented work cultures.
Professor Lalitha earned an MA (Andhra University, Waltair), an MPhil (University of Chennai), and doing PhD from The Centre for International Politics, Organization and Disarmament (CIPOD) JNU.
She has been instrumental in bringing about large-scale strategic changes in government HRM practices as a Key Team Member of projects like designing Organizational Structure and HR Policy Manual for e-Pragati Andhra Pradesh Government, training and development of six State Level Public Enterprises (SLPEs) for Assam Government, design of Pay Structure and Training Policy for Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation, and redesigning the Organization Structure and HR Policies for Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation.
As a Diploma holder in Experiential Education and DiSC-certified trainer and educator, she is no less than an Alchemist of Industrial Psychology, digging deep into the talent pool of companies, and enriching the commitment, hidden talents and integrity of the modern-day workforce at multi-hierarchical levels.
She is actively engaged in the world of academic and professional writings with several publications to her credit, including contributions to the South Asian Journal of Management, HEF’s Indian Journal of Higher Education, and World Affairs Journal.
