To become effective in interpersonal domain, one has to first learn to be effective with oneself and then move outwards—from independence to interdependence.
Effectiveness can be learned and it must be learned. It does not come by itself. It is an ability that must be acquired.
The programme on Enhancing Personal and Interpersonal Effectiveness has been designed to first provide an insight into one’s strengths and weaknesses in both the domains. Thereafter, the programme focuses on building up various skills, both conceptually and behaviourly, to increase one’s effectiveness.

The programme is designed to facilitate experiential learning through interactive sessions, which are organized around case studies, group activities, discussions, psychological instruments, exercises, films, etc.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The programme is meant for senior and middle level executives of public sector, private sector and government organizations. The programme will also be useful for HR professionals and trainers.
Monday, November 19, 2018 to Wednesday November 21, 2018. The programme starts at 0930 hours on November 19, 2018 and concludes on November 21, 2018 at 1715 hours. The participants are expected to arrive in Hyderabad a day before commencement and may leave after the conclusion of the programme or in the morning of the following day.
The programme will be held at the Centre for Organization Development, Madhapur, Hyderabad. It is fully residential and the participants will be accommodated in single air-conditioned rooms at its campus.
The Centre arranges transport between Airport/Railway Station and the campus.
The Programme fee is Rs.27,000/- + GST. The fee includes tuition, board and lodging, courseware and other facilities of the Centre like Internet usage, well equipped gym. Local participants not availing hostel accommodation will be given a discount of Rs.1,000/- per day for the duration of the programme. Cheque/DD drawn in favour of “Centre for Organization Development” payable at Hyderabad, along with the nomination form be sent to the Head, Programmes Office, Centre for Organization Development, Madhapur, P.O. Cyberabad, Hyderabad 500 081.
Organizations/Institutions nominating more than one person will be given a concession of 10 per cent in fee to the second nominee and onwards. A 10 per cent concession is also given to a woman participant. In either case, the maximum allowable concession is 10 per cent.

Participants of the program will become members of COD Alumni Association.
Dr. R. N. Saxena has done M.A. (English), LL.B., C.A.I.I.B., and Joint Fellow Programme in H.R.D. from XLRI, Jamshedpur and Academy of H.R.D., Ahmedabad. His doctoral thesis was on impact of training on behaviour and performance of participants.
Joining State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer in 1972, he became an A.G.M. in 1994. He worked as a faculty in Behavioural Science with State Bank Staff College, Hyderabad from 1993 to 2001 wherein he directed many Executive Development Programmes, Faculty Development Programmes, Programmes on Stress Management, Counselling Skills, Role Clarity, Organization Development and Sensitivity Training.
He worked as a Professor in H.R. Area with Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad from 2002 to 2010. He introduced many new programmes there on Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Personality Development, Stress Management, Creativity etc. He has also done assessment of leadership potential by using Assessment Centre Technique for senior level promotions in Public Sector General Insurance Companies from 2006 to 2009 as a Team Leader.
